CME Activity Credit Expired

Your treatment decisions will affect the outcome of two osteoporosis patients in this case-based CME webcourse which utilizes a full range of interactive elements, medical animations, and virtual environments.

Osteoporosis is often an asymptomatic disease. In fact, many people are unaware of their condition until they suffer a fracture. With more than 1.5 million osteoporotic fractures occurring each year in the United States--including 300,000 hip fractures and 700,000 vertebral fractures--early diagnosis and aggressive treatment of osteoporosis is essential. This interactive case-based webcourse follows two patients over a 30-year span. At key points in each case you will decide on the most appropriate course of treatment and preventive care. Your decisions will have long-term consequences for these patients and will significantly affect their risk of fracture and quality of life.
